Supermarkets and Grocery Stores in Sengkang

Sengkang is a modern residential new town in the north-east of Singapore, developed from the late 1990s alongside Punggol as part of Singapore's expansion into its north-eastern region. It is one of Singapore's youngest and fastest-growing towns, popular with young families drawn by newer HDB flats, comprehensive amenities, and good schools.

Amenities & shopping Compass One (formerly Compass Point) is Sengkang's main mall, offering supermarkets, a cinema, and a wide range of dining and retail directly above the MRT. Rivervale Mall and Rivervale Plaza serve the eastern parts of the estate. NTUC FairPrice and Sheng Siong branches are spread across the town's neighbourhood centres. Sengkang General Hospital serves as the area's major healthcare facility. Schools include Sengkang Primary, Compassvale Secondary, and the nearby Nan Chiau High School.

Transport & accessibility Sengkang MRT is an interchange between the North-East Line and the Sengkang LRT, which loops through the interior of the estate in two directions. Bus services connect to Hougang, Punggol, and Tampines. The Tampines Expressway (TPE) and Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE) serve car users travelling to the CBD and the east.

Community & attractions Sengkang Riverside Park runs along the Punggol Waterway and offers cycling paths, waterfront promenades, and fishing spots. Anchorvale Community Club and several neighbourhood parks support active community programming. The town has a notably young demographic profile, reflected in the abundance of childcare centres, playgrounds, and family-oriented facilities across the estate.
