Choa Chu Kang is a residential town in the north-west of Singapore, developed primarily from the late 1980s on land that was once rubber plantations and kampung settlements. It borders Malaysia to the north and serves as the gateway town to the western Tengah development area, giving it a role as both a settled mature estate and a town at the edge of Singapore's ongoing expansion.

Amenities & shopping Lot One Shoppers' Mall, directly above Choa Chu Kang MRT, is the estate's main retail hub with a cinema, supermarkets, and a wide range of dining options. Limbang Shopping Centre and Keat Hong Shopping Centre serve the town's outlying precincts. The Choa Chu Kang Market and Food Centre at Block 304 is a popular hawker spot for the northern half of the estate. NTUC FairPrice and Sheng Siong outlets are spread throughout. Yew Tee Square and the nearby Yew Tee Point serve the town's eastern corridor. Schools include Choa Chu Kang Primary, South View Primary, and Assumption English School.

Transport & accessibility Choa Chu Kang MRT is an interchange between the North-South Line and the Bukit Panjang LRT, making it a key transit node for the north-west. Yew Tee MRT provides additional NSL coverage. Choa Chu Kang Bus Interchange connects to Bukit Panjang, Jurong, and Woodlands. The Kranji Expressway (KJE) and Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) link residents to the PIE and the rest of Singapore by road.

Community & attractions Choa Chu Kang Cemetery and Kranji War Memorial — the latter commemorating Allied forces who died in the Battle of Singapore — are significant heritage landmarks near the town's northern edge. Tengah, the new eco-town being developed immediately adjacent, will eventually share amenities and connectivity with Choa Chu Kang residents. Little Guilin at Bukit Batok is a short drive away for nature recreation.
