Punggol Digital District (PDD) is Singapore's first business park integrated directly into an HDB town, developed on the former Punggol quarry site in the north-east. Jointly planned by JTC and HDB, it is designed to co-locate the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) campus with digital economy businesses, creating a live-work-learn environment distinct from traditional industrial estates.

Amenities & shopping PDD is still maturing as a commercial and community destination. The district is anchored by the SIT campus, which brings a student and professional population that supports surrounding F&B and services. Waterway Point at Punggol MRT remains the primary retail and dining hub for the broader Punggol area, with NTUC FairPrice, a cinema, and extensive food options. As more business park buildings are completed and occupied, ground-floor retail and hawker facilities are being added within the district. Oasis Terraces at Punggol Way provides hawker and retail support for the neighbouring residential precincts.

Transport & accessibility PDD is served by Punggol MRT, the North-East Line terminus, with the Punggol LRT providing last-mile connectivity within the broader town. The Tampines Expressway (TPE) and Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE) connect the district by road to the CBD and the rest of Singapore. The district is designed with walking and cycling as primary internal modes, with covered linkways connecting SIT buildings to the business park blocks and the waterway promenade.

Community & attractions The Punggol Waterway runs along the edge of PDD, integrating the district with Punggol Waterway Park's cycling paths, promenades, and community spaces. The co-location of SIT with companies in cybersecurity, smart logistics, and data analytics is intended to generate industry-academic collaboration and job opportunities within the north-east. PDD is a reference case for Singapore's broader strategy of decentralising knowledge economy jobs away from the CBD.
