Stephen Riady Centre

At the heart of National University of Singapore's University Town (UTown) at 2 College Avenue West in the Kent Ridge campus corridor, the Stephen Riady Centre is a landmark three-storey mixed-use complex that serves as the social, sports, and retail hub for Singapore's largest university community. Designed by award-winning DPA Architects and completed in 2012, the centre was built around a central open plaza that acts as the gathering point of UTown — a campus village designed to foster interdisciplinary living, learning, and connection among students, faculty, and visitors.

The centre's retail and dining offering is compact but purposefully curated for a university community active around the clock. A 24-hour FairPrice Xpress provides grocery essentials, an Octobox unmanned 24-hour convenience store covers late-night needs, a food court offers affordable daily meals, a Bookhaven lifestyle bookstore stocks academic and leisure reading alongside IT accessories, and a hair salon attends to everyday lifestyle needs. Beyond retail, the centre's sports facilities — two multipurpose sports halls, a rock climbing wall, a gym, and a recreational pool — plus performing arts spaces including an auditorium, dance studios, and practice rooms make it the most multifaceted community hub on the NUS campus.

Kent Ridge MRT Station (CC24) on the Circle Line is the nearest rail stop, served by NUS Internal Shuttle Bus D2 directly to UTown. Bus 196 from Buona Vista MRT (EW21/CC22) and Bus 183 from Clementi MRT (EW23) also serve the area.
