North Shore
Opened in phases between October 2021 and 2022 along Northshore Drive in Punggol's Northshore District, Northshore Plaza is a two-section HDB neighbourhood centre — Plaza I at 407 Northshore Drive and the connected Plaza II — designed to serve the waterfront residential community of Singapore's first eco-smart HDB district. Built in an open-air format with alfresco retail streetscapes and sheltered linkways connecting its two blocks, the plaza brought essential daily amenities to Punggol's rapidly growing northern shoreline population when it first opened.
The plaza's tenant mix spans daily essentials and dining — anchored by NTUC FairPrice, McDonald's, Haidilao Hotpot, and Decathlon, with food stalls, bubble tea outlets, clinics, beauty services, and lifestyle shops rounding out the offer. Since the December 2024 opening of Punggol Coast Mall directly linked to the new Punggol Coast MRT Station, Northshore Plaza has faced heightened competition for foot traffic, prompting HDB to work with tenants on rental adjustments and tenant mix refinements to support business viability. Despite this, it continues to play an important convenience role for residents of Northshore Drive, Edgedale Plains, and the waterfront HDB blocks in the immediate vicinity.
Northshore Plaza is connected via Samudera LRT Station on the Punggol LRT network — four stops from Punggol MRT Station (NE17/PTC) on the North-East Line. Bus services 83 and 84 also serve the surrounding Northshore precinct.
