Kranji

Located in Singapore’s north-western region near the Johor–Singapore Causeway corridor, Kranji is a distinctive district better known for its agricultural farms, industrial developments, and nature spaces than traditional retail activity. The area combines rural elements, industrial zones, and transport infrastructure in a way that differs significantly from most urban parts of Singapore. While commercial offerings are relatively limited, local retail clusters and amenities support workers, residents, and visitors to the district.

The wider Kranji area includes attractions such as farms, nature reserves, Kranji Marshes, Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, and various countryside destinations that attract families and nature enthusiasts. Larger shopping and retail options are generally found in nearby Woodlands, including Causeway Point and Vista Point.

Kranji MRT Station (NS7) on the North-South Line serves as the area’s main transport node, while nearby expressways and bus services provide connections to Woodlands, Bukit Panjang, and the rest of Singapore.
