Junction 8
Serving as the retail heart of Bishan town, Junction 8 at 9 Bishan Place has been one of Singapore’s most established suburban malls since opening in 1993. Named after Bishan’s original designation as “Sector 8” during urban planning stages, the mall has evolved over the decades into a major family-oriented shopping destination serving residents from Bishan and neighbouring estates. Following multiple enhancement works, it remains one of Singapore’s most popular suburban retail centres.
The mall features a broad tenant mix including FairPrice Finest, Uniqlo, food courts, cinemas, fashion retailers, educational services, and numerous dining concepts. Nearby schools and residential developments generate consistent foot traffic throughout the day. Junction 8 also forms part of a larger integrated transport and commercial hub that includes offices and public transport facilities.
Bishan MRT Station (NS17/CC15), an interchange between the North-South and Circle Lines, is directly connected to the mall alongside the Bishan Bus Interchange.
