CQ @ Clarke Quay

Few retail destinations in Singapore carry the weight of history that CQ @ Clarke Quay does. Comprising five blocks of restored 19th-century shophouses and waterfront godowns along the Singapore River at 3 River Valley Road, this iconic conservation landmark was first developed in 1993 and has evolved through successive reinventions — most recently reopening in April 2024 after a two-year rejuvenation exercise that reconfigured it as a vibrant "day-to-night" destination for locals, tourists, and CBD office workers alike.

Owned and managed by CapitaLand Integrated Commercial Trust, the revamped CQ @ Clarke Quay is organised into three distinct zones across its five warehouse blocks, housing a diverse mix of restaurants, bars, entertainment venues, and lifestyle concepts along the riverside. Signature tenants include Zouk — Singapore's most storied nightclub — alongside The Cannery multi-concept dining destination, The Arena entertainment venue, Singapore's first Permanent Illusion Show, moored Chinese junks converted into floating bars, and a FairPrice Finest supermarket added as part of the rejuvenation to broaden its daytime appeal. Murals by celebrated artist Yip Yew Chong decorate Block B, and upgraded Angel Canopies over the internal streets improve thermal comfort year-round. River cruises and water taxis along the Singapore River are accessible directly from the quay.

Clarke Quay MRT Station (NE5) on the North-East Line is within walking distance, as is Fort Canning MRT (DT20) on the Downtown Line. The CBD, Boat Quay, and Robertson Quay are all easily reachable on foot or by riverside promenade.
