Compass One
Located at 1 Sengkang Square, #B1-25, Singapore 545078 Originally opened in 2002 as Compass Point — the first major mall to serve the North-East Line upon its launch — Compass One at 1 Sengkang Square has been the commercial backbone of Sengkang for over two decades. After an extensive 11-month refurbishment, the mall reopened in September 2016 under its current name with a refreshed identity, 50 new retailers, and an elevated family-focused positioning that has cemented its place as the most popular and accessible mall in the Sengkang estate.
Spanning 270,000 sq ft across eight levels, Compass One houses 208 stores and services with a tenant mix built around families, students, and everyday convenience. Cold Storage anchors the basement grocery offering, with Popular Bookstore, Kiddy Palace, Challenger, Owndays, and Kopitiam and Encik Tan food courts rounding out the lineup. Over 50 food establishments span Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Western, and Malay cuisines across multiple levels. The Sengkang Public Library — the only public library in Singapore's north-east region — occupies Levels 3 and 4, while a rooftop play deck with wet and dry playgrounds on Level 4 makes it a particularly strong draw for young families. Banks including POSB, OCBC, and Hong Leong all maintain full branch facilities within the mall.
Compass One is directly integrated with Sengkang MRT and LRT Station (NE16/STC) and the Sengkang Bus Interchange via Levels 1 and 2, making it one of Singapore's most transit-connected suburban shopping malls.
